Freepik for Enterprise - Legal Aspects and Usage Rights

    Does Freepik offer legal protection?

Yes, Freepik offers comprehensive legal protection for Enterprise customers through our indemnification provisions, for both:

Stock Content Library: If you're using content from our stock library, you're covered under our indemnification policy, as long as it's used according to our licensing terms.

AI-Generated Output (Enterprise MSA): When using Freepik's AI Suite under the Master Services Agreement, Enterprise customers are protected against third-party intellectual property claims related to AI-generated content—again, when usage follows the agreement terms.

Important Exclusions: Protection does not apply when:

    • You use registered trademarks or other searchable IP rights in prompts
    • You continue using content after receiving infringement notifications
    • You provide unauthorized Input content or use prompts you know infringe third-party rights
    • You modify Output or combine it with third-party content in ways that create liability
    • Claims arise from failure to exercise reasonable care or comply with applicable laws

This indemnification gives Enterprise customers confidence to use our AI tools at scale, knowing they have substantial legal protection when using our services responsibly.

Can we keep using Freepik resources once our subscription has expired?

Yes, the licenses you obtain via Freepik are designed to be perpetual once you download and use the asset under the agreed terms. This means that even if Freepik or its parent company ceases to exist, your right to use the resource remains valid as per the original license agreements. You can read more information here.

Can we use the AI-generated videos or images we create commercially?

Under our Master Services Agreement (MSA), you own all rights in the Output—meaning any content generated by our AI tools based on your Input. This includes AI-generated images, videos, voiceovers, and other content. You can use, reproduce, modify, and commercialize this Output for any lawful purpose, provided you comply with the MSA terms and use our services responsibly. This includes adhering to our Acceptable Use Policy and ensuring you don't infringe third-party rights through your prompts or usage.

Due to the nature of AI technology, similar or identical Output may be generated by other users using the same or similar prompts. This doesn't affect your ownership rights to your specific Output.

Can we use third-party stock images to train LoRA?

If you are considering images created by third parties (such as copyrighted characters), you must obtain proper authorization unless the images are provided under a license that permits such use.

Stock images provided by third parties have their own specific licensing terms that may differ from the standard Freepik content. Before you use third-party content in your LoRA training in Freepik, it is essential to review the precise licensing terms associated with that partnership and, if needed, seek additional authorization. This ensures that you remain fully compliant with the copyright and usage limitations attached to third-party assets.

Can we use the generated content in different projects and across multiple locations?

Yes. Freepik’s assets—such as store display mockups—are made available for commercial use. Provided you adhere to the permitted use outlined in the asset’s license, you can freely use this content for physical displays or other promotional materials in multiple locations.
