Freepik Styles and Custom Styles

    What is Freepik Custom Style?

Freepik’s AI image generator Custom Style is a powerful feature that employs fine-tuning techniques known as LoRAs to train generative AI models using specialized data. This results in the creation of highly coherent and stylized images. With this tool, you can generate visuals within a distinctive technical-artistic framework, ensuring visual consistency across all your generated assets.

LoRAs are smaller models that enable you to apply a specific style to an image without the need to retrain the entire AI model. Instead, you can simply train the LoRA on a smaller dataset of images (ranging from 10 to 50) tailored to achieve that desired look or style.

This tool is designed to help maintain artistic integrity while offering flexibility in stylistic control.

    Does Freepik provide pre-designed styles?

Of course! Freepik offers a range of ready-made styles featuring popular and trendy aesthetics. These prompt-based styles have been expertly crafted and curated by Freepik for our users. You can explore our diverse selection of styles or filter them by three main categories: photography, illustrations, or 3D art.

Please be aware that styles indicated by a yellow crown are exclusively accessible to users with a paid subscription.

How to train a Custom Style?

    1. Select a name, and a description and select the quality level.
    2. Choose if you want to create the style with a prompt or with images.
    3. Upload images (10 to 50) with the style you want to replicate.
    4. Wait a few minutes while training picks up on that style.

How can I ensure the consistency of the Custom Style?

If you want to create a Custom Style from a prompt, keep it short but descriptive, focusing on mood, color and texture. You can make changes to refine the style later on.

Once your Custom Style is created, simply select it, and all the images you produce will exhibit a cohesive style and appearance. Check out these examples of images generated using the Custom Style we created earlier:

When creating a Custom Style using images, incorporate a diverse range of scenes, colors, and objects. For optimal quality, aim to upload images that are at least 2000 pixels in width or height. Keep in mind that uploading more images will enhance the richness and flexibility of the style, while fewer images will focus on specific details.

Which modes are supported for Custom Styles?

You can use your Custom Styles with the following modes:

    • Mystic 1.0
    • Mystic 2.5
    • Mystic 2.5 Flexible
    • Flux 1.0

How many credits does the training consume?

The credit consumption varies based on the quality level you select:

    • Medium: 1000 credits
    • High: 3000 credits
    • Ultra: 3500 credits

Generally, opting for a higher quality level results in improved image quality, though it will also require longer training time.

Can I create a Custom Style if I’m a free user?

If you are a free registered or Essential user you can't create Custom Styles. This feature is available only to Premium, Premium+ and Pro plans.
