    How to Change the Background in Photos

    Open the Freepik AI Suite and select Edit.

    Upload your image or choose one from your AI Suite history.

    Click on Edit, then Background, and select Replace background.

    Choose between the Prompt and Image options.

    Click on Replace Background.

    How to Make the Background of a Photo Transparent

    Open the Freepik AI Suite and select Edit.

    Upload your image or pick one from your AI creations.

    In the left panel, click Background, then select Transparent.

    The AI will instantly remove the background, leaving a transparent layer.

    Download the image in PNG format to preserve transparency.

    How to Change the Background Color

    Open the Freepik AI Suite and select Edit.

    Go to Background, then open the Color tab.

    Pick a Solid or Gradient color.

    How to Remove the Background from Images

    Credit usage

    • Removing or editing a background within the editor consumes 3 credits per image.
    • Premium+ and Pro users can use the Background Remover without consuming credits, as part of their unlimited access to image editing tools.
    • Removing the background directly from stock images does not use credits, but it counts toward your daily download limit.
    • Transparent PNGs and custom AI-generated backgrounds are available to all users, but Premium users have higher daily limits.
