Freepik Company Appoints Key International Executive
We certainly started the year off right, with one of the most important positions filled in Freepik Universe.
We are happy and proud to announce that Rod Oliveira joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. He will set the international positioning of Freepik, Flaticon, and Slidesgo, leading a Marketing team of 25 professionals.
Since the beginning of January 2020, Oliveira joined Freepik’s executive suite and occupied a newly created position in Freepik Company, which strengthens an area of great strategic relevance for the brand. Among other responsibilities, he will be in charge of enhancing and transforming the recognition of the Freepik, Flaticon, and Slidesgo brands internationally. He will also lead the Marketing team, to innovate and drive rapid growth in new markets and deliver a strong value proposition to all Freepik’s Universe.
Freepik’s new CMO is an experienced leader with a proven track record in Marketing in fast-growing corporations. During his professional career, he has held several roles in top brands such as Spreadshirt, SEGA, Vodafone, and Innogames, among others, heading up international marketing for best-selling multiplatform products across the globe.
Oliveira’s incorporation is part of the consolidation and expansion plan of the company, which sets international brand positioning as one of its main objectives. In Oliveira’s words:
