• How do credits work?

  Credits work like currency on our platform and are used for AI tools and features—not for downloading content. Each AI tool has a different cost, which you can check in the table. You can use your credits however you like across different tools. We reserve the right to update credit costs at any time, without prior notice.

  If you’re on an annual plan, you get all your credits upfront, and they reset every year. If you’re on a monthly plan, credits reset every month.

  Heads up: Unused credits don’t roll over to the next month. But if you upgrade your plan or switch from a monthly to an annual subscription, your unused credits will carry over.

• Do downloading limits apply to the designs I create?

  No. Downloading limits only apply to the stock content offered by Freepik, whether it’s made by us or our contributors. If you’re on a Free or Essential plan, you get 10 downloads a day for stock content. But if you’re on a Premium, Premium+ or Pro plan, you have unlimited downloads. You can always download your own creations and projects without any limits.

• Is my subscription automatically renewed?

  Yes, all paid subscriptions automatically renew either monthly or annually, depending on your billing period. You can cancel your subscription anytime, but you'll still enjoy all your plan's benefits and credits until the end of your billing period.

• What is the Merchandise License?

  This permission is only available to Pro users. It allows you to apply non-AI-generated Premium assets to physical products for commercial sale—including, but not limited to, apparel, drinkware, bags, posters, and similar items.

  You can produce up to 100,000 units per individual asset, with no additional royalty payments within that limit.

  This license does not allow the registration of logos or trademarks based on the asset.

• What does “no attribution” mean?

  “No attribution” means you can use any downloaded stock content without needing to credit the original creator (Freepik or one of our contributors). This gives you the freedom to use the material hassle-free, without having to mention where it came from. Just be sure to follow our License Agreement when using our content.   Importantly, attribution never applies to the content you design or edit, even when using our tools, editable templates, or mockups.

• What’s the difference between Premium stock content and Free stock content?

  Premium content stands out in several ways compared to free content. It includes a broader variety of exclusive, high-quality assets that aren't available in the free collection—unique graphics, templates, mockups, or assets. Accessible only through a Premium, Premium+ or Pro plan, it ensures your creations remain unique. Premium content is only accessible through Premium, Premium+ and Pro plans, so it requires no attribution, offering greater flexibility for users creating professional projects.

• How many generations do I have per tool or microtool?

  The number of generations you get per tool or microtool varies. Each tool consumes a different amount of credits per generation, and the outcomes can vary as well, yielding anywhere from one to four or even more generated images each time.

  You can see detailed information about credit costs for each AI tool in the table above. Credits work like currency, and they’re exclusively used for AI tools and features—not for downloading content. You have the flexibility to allocate your credits across different tools according to your needs.

• How can I purchase extra credits?

  To purchase extra credits, you must be a Premium+ or Pro user on a monthly or annual plan. Extra credits expire 3 years after purchase and are only used once monthly credits are depleted. Extra credits require an active paid subscription; if you cancel your plan, your extra credits will be on hold.

  If you downgrade to a Premium or Essential subscription, you will still be able to use your extra credits, but you won’t be able to purchase more until you upgrade back to Premium+ or Pro.

• Can I use AI-generated images for commercial purposes?

  Yes, you can use AI-generated images for personal or professional purposes, including commercial projects, provided they comply with applicable laws and respect third-party rights, such as identity, creative ownership, trademarks, and intellectual property. However, it is your responsibility to ensure the images do not infringe any third-party rights and comply with the applicable regulations.

  We strongly recommend obtaining professional legal advice to confirm that the AI-generated images comply with any applicable laws in your jurisdiction and are free of any issues, particularly if they will be used in branding, merchandising, or other derivative works. Keep in mind that copyright laws for AI-generated content vary by country, and any legal consequences arising from the use of infringing images will fall under your sole responsibility.

• How does the Unlimited Generations feature work?

  Unlimited Generations is a feature included in the Premium+ and Pro plans and applies to the following tools: AI Image Generator (Google Nano Banana and Seedream models; excludes Custom Character, Style, and Product LoRA training. Nano Banana Pro 1K and 2K remains unlimited until February 2 included), AI Video Generator (Wan 2.2 at 480p and MiniMax Hailuo 2.3 Fast at 768p), AI Assistant, Sketch to Image, and all image-editing tools except Upscaler.

  You can generate at full speed for up to 1000 images within any rolling 30-day period on Premium+, or 5,000 on Pro. After reaching that threshold, you’ll still enjoy unlimited generations — there’s no cap on quantity — but your requests will move to a relaxed queue that processes more slowly. This helps ensure compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy and keeps the platform stable and fair for everyone.

  Your fast-generation counter works on a rolling 30-day window: each image you generate stays in your counter for exactly 30 days before automatically releasing. This means your limit doesn’t reset on the first of each month — it continuously updates as older images drop off the counter. You can check your current usage by hovering over the infinity symbol in the Unlimited toggle.

  All images you generate — whether processed at full speed or in the relaxed queue — count toward your rolling 30-day window. When older images expire after 30 days, your available fast-generation capacity automatically increases again.

  Unlimited Generations are intended for one person and human use only. Automation tools, scraping, credential sharing, or reselling access aren’t allowed. If unusual activity is detected, Unlimited Generations may be temporarily paused while your account is reviewed by our Support Team.

  You can switch to credits anytime to stay at full speed if you need faster processing. As we scale capacity, speed and concurrency limits may evolve to maintain overall performance.
