Infographic: Which are the top imports in every country around the world?

The guys at Vouchercloud have prepared a very interesting map infographic showing very interesting data about every country’s biggest product imports and exports. Are you curious to learn a bit more about the economy of the world?

Infographics are a great way to present data, and of course what better way to present data about so many different countries than using a map?

imports

According to the data used by Vouchercloud to create this infographic, fuel is the dominant import product in the world. Out of 187 countries, 97 of them import more fuel than any other kind of product, refined petroleum being the most common kind.

In the second place, transportation is the most imported product in 54 countries of the world, for example passenger ships and planes are included into this category, but cars are leading in the USA, the UK or Australia amongst others.

imports

In the case of the biggest imports, there’s a lot more variety because every country is able to offer a more unique product to the rest of the world. Despite this, fuel is still the most exported product, but only 53 out of 187 countries, but food also follows close behind in 35 countries. It’s very interesting to see the differences according to location and climate!
