The science behind our new logo
Making the decision to revamp our logo was not something we took lightly. We understood that an alteration to the iconic Freepik symbol that had come to embody our brand for so many years would require deep consideration. As our company matured, we felt a refreshment of our identity was necessary to properly highlight our growth and current objectives. We thus turned our attention towards reimagining our logo in order to keep pace with our ever-evolving environment.
Before vs. After
With our newly simplified logo, we have created a bold and playful wordmark that encompasses the fluidity and freedom of the creative process. The variable width of characters demonstrates this explicitly, while the inverted “i” acts as an exclamation point, embodying the spark of joy experienced when a great idea is born.
This new logo encapsulates the essence of the creative journey – from exploration to the satisfaction of achieving a great result. It is a simple and elegant representation of the creative spark that drives us all. We hope it will inspire and motivate you to create something beautiful.

In chase of hues and shades
The Freepik brand has always been centered around its iconic Piki Blue hue, and the new color palette takes that signature shade and builds upon it to create an even more distinct look. Drawing inspiration from our beloved coastal hometown of Málaga, the new Freepik color palette is bursting with vibrant tones that range from deep, dark shades to vibrant, popping hues.
The end result is a comprehensive palette that celebrates our unique story in an exciting and modern way. With this color palette, Freepik can offer a vast contrast – ranging from a light and airy feel to a more dark and moody atmosphere. This color palette brings life to our story, allowing us to create visuals that are joyful, impactful, and unmistakably our own.
Just the right type
At Freepik, we recognize the importance of modernizing and future-proofing our brand to ensure our core consumers can easily identify and relate to us. That is why we have introduced two new typefaces to our brand to ensure our type is well-crafted and legible.
Primary – Degular
Degular is our display typeface of choice for its modern yet timeless characters and its ability to easily transition between font weights. This versatile typeface has the potential to make any project look its best. Its distinctive characters are perfect for creating an eye-catching look that will stand out from the rest. It can be used both on digital and print media, making it an ideal first pick for us.
Secondary – Inter
Inter is our secondary typeface of choice due to the fact that it has been developed specifically for computer screens. It’s optimal for readability, featuring a tall x-height which makes it suitable for any mixed-case or lower-case text. It will ensure that our message is delivered in the clearest and most legible manner.
Our typefaces need to embody the creative spirit of our products. Therefore, we went for two typefaces that work together in harmony. Degular is intended for headlines, meant to bring out our brand personality. Inter is for dense body copy and more information-heavy situations. Ultimately, this balance creates an excellent combination that will effectively communicate our message.
