Featured Artist: Devucii
Devina Jain, also known as Devucii, is our latest Featured Artist, a colorful illustrator from India who has captivated us with her cheerful style that is full of natural elements.
Looking through Devucii’s illustrations is like taking a stroll through nature. With great attention down to the very last detail, her works range from the most beautiful floral decorations to the odd cat or two.
If there is something that Devucii knew from a very early age it is that she wanted to be an artist. That’s why she had no trouble making the decision to study Visual Arts, definitively bringing her closer to her dream of becoming an illustrator.
Over the years, our Featured Artist has created her own style, inspired by the incomparable beauty of India. “Jaipur is a city full of artistic inspiration and architecture. I have grown up admiring the beauty and colorfulness of these monuments and places”.

Nature in its purest form
Flowers, fruits, plants, trees and animals are just some of the resources that Devucii likes to use to create her illustrations. Natural elements that she uses to build a space in which she celebrates, particularly, female characters, who are always highly present in her work.
“I love to show feminine beauty and strength by representing women in different styles and colorful settings”.
For this Hindu artist, the combination of wildlife and natural beauty is a constant inspiration to her when creating her illustrations. Almost like an endless source of resources and colors.
“I pay a great deal of attention to the details, as they make my illustrations unique and different. Maintaining consistent colors and styles is very important to ensure that my work is coherent and eye-catching”.
Cheerful and bright colors
Devucii is one of those artists that gives color the importance it deserves. That’s why, when we ask her about the color palettes used in her illustrations, she does not hesitate to acknowledge that they are a key part of her work.
“I place a lot of importance on the color palettes used in my designs. My favorites are based on warm, bright and earth tones, which all go perfectly together. I love working and experimenting with different colors”.
Devucii also admits that throughout her life she has been inspired by people and artists such as Bodil Jane, Jess Miller, Amber Davenport and many others. As well as animated movies, which have also left their mark on her work.
“My artistic style has evolved significantly over the years. Little by little, I have gradually moved towards a reflection of my love for nature, combining it with female characters”.
