Beautifully animated gifs of butterflies and months of the Lepidoptera Obscura order

Vladimir Stankovix is a Sydney-based illustrator and graphic designer who creates beautiful illustrations using watercolor, pencils and digital edition. In his series Lepidoptera Obscura, he combined the three to create something really amazing.

These stunning illustrations depict moth and butterfly species from the Lepidoptera Obscura order, which are rare creatures found in inaccessible areas of the tropical rain forests. Some can even become invisible with their camouflage abilities!

They are quite unknown species and he has done this tribute to them with beautifully colored watercolor illustrations and animation, which makes the pictures even more hypnotic than they already are.
