Incredible illustrations made of paper by John Ed de Vera

John Ed de Vera is a Philippine multidisciplinary artist who cuts out different shapes in colored paper to create these fun illustrations of his favorite characters. Paper is his only media, but the results are truly astonishing.

From fictional characters such as Gudetama to real ones, like Prince and his Purple Rain, de Vera composes beautiful, vivid tridimensional work of bidimensional look. The colors, in combination with the superposition of layers, makes each piece pop out in its own way.

He is constantly researching and experimenting with new techniques that, in combination with his incredible skills and steady hands, will produce many new projects to come.
