Watch “Borrowed Time”, an emotive short by two Pixar animators

Pixar animators Andrew Coats and Lou Hamou-Lhadj have been working for five years, on their spare time, to create a heartbreaking animation short called Borrowed Time, which has finally made its online debut.

A mourning sheriff approaches a cliff while he remembers the past. For the creators, every minute of work put into the short was worth it. The animation is beautiful and highly detailed, and the character design is superb and loaded with emotion.

As Hamou-Lhadj claims, they are glad that even though they have worked in so many family comedies and happy stories, they have managed to produce a piece that is a bit more dramatic and outside of their comfort zone.
