How have Pantone colors evolved since the year 2000?

Decoration website Bellacor has prepared an infographic that teaches you some trivia about the behavior of color company Pantone over the last 17-18 years, since the year 2000 when Cerulean was chosen as color of the year.

During these almost two decades, up to 2015 the color chosen as yearly followed a certain pattern: every five years, a shade of blue, pink, red, green or a wild card color would become a part of said pattern in color choice.

But since 2015, the last 3 choices have broken that trend, which makes it very difficult to predict which will be the color chosen for next year, right after 2017’s Greenery shade of beautiful grass green!
