Introducing Clip Editor: Transform your video scenes with Freepik

Freepik users with any plan can now easily modify single clips using the Clip Editor tool, available in the Freepik AI Suite. After the launch of Video Project Editor, which allowed for a smooth video assembling experience, this new tool is the next step towards complete personalization for your video projects. Take a sneak peek at this quick demo with the main features.

Now it’s your turn!

Open the AI Suite, select the Clip Editor under the video tools, and break down everything that you can do.

Try Clip Editor

Add elements via image or text

Maybe your character is missing a pair of sunglasses. Or, perhaps, you want to change their jacket. Or the scenery. Maybe the lighting? Clip Editor lets you change different elements of your video. Hit Modify or press M, and choose a model. Both Decart Lucy Edit models support text-to-video, and with Runway Aleph, you’ll be able to use reference images as input to transform your video.

Extend your video

You can also make your video longer and decide how you want it to continue. Hit Extend or press E, and use the prompt box to describe how your scene should continue.

Upscale your clip

If you’re using your video in bigger formats, you will likely need to upscale it. Hit Upscale or press U to access this feature. You can choose the frames per second (fps), and increase the resolution up to 2160p (4K). As a general rule, the higher the fps, the more fluid your video’s motion will be, helping you create slow-motion clips later on. However, they can also enlarge your file and make your clips look less cinematographic.

Add sound effects

AI video models like Wan 2.5 or Google Veo 3 offer built-in audio. For all other models, you can add sound effects directly from Clip Editor, or access the Sound Effects Generator in the Freepik AI Suite. Hit Sound Effects or press S, and describe the sounds you want to add to your video in the prompt box.

Trim your clips

Lastly, you can hit Trim or press T to cut your video to any desired length.

Finish your video projects with Video Project Editor

Once you’ve modified your clips in Clip Editor, use Video Project Editor to combine them into a full video with transitions, animations effects, and more. You can use your AI creations or elements from your gallery as inputs.
