Illustrator reinvents his home with tiny imaginary human beings

What started as a simple 30 day challenge for Dutch illustrator Wies van der Velde, has ended up earning its own special day in his weekly routine. He began by painting little people in every photographed corner of his house.

After completing a 30-day challenge of painting tiny inhabitants of his furniture and appliances, he couldn’t just kick them out and now celebrates Teeny Tiny Thursdays every week, with new people appearing having a sauna in his cooking pot or having a swim in the sink.

Wies, who publishes his work on Instagram under the name ‘Sowiesowies”, is also a ceramics artist and uses his own illustrations in his plant pots and mugs. His work is pretty awesome, so make sure to take a look at it!
