Artist uses needle and thread to paint stunning landscapes
Meko Gelashvill is a Tbilisi, Georgia-based embroidery artist that defines herself as an embroidery lover. She has combined this love of hers with her passion for photography, resulting in her beautiful creations of satin thread.
She uses needle and thread to recreate the effect of paint on her artwork, using different embroidery techniques. She doesn’t only do landscapes, but also some of the most famous works of art of all times, like Van Gogh paintings.
She has written an article on BoredPanda to present her work, and it’s really impressive. Her “paintings” take from one to three weeks to be finished, and it’s wonderful that she has the patience for such a delicate form of art and is able to share it with the rest of the world!
