1. Ana Oncina  and illustration. When your story begins?

Since I have use of reason I like to draw, when I finished high school I did not think too much that was what I wanted to study and what I wanted to dedicate. Before finishing the race I was published Croquette and Pasty and since then I have dedicated myself exclusively to the comic and the illustration.

2. To illustrate means … to express myself.

3. An illustrator born or made?

In my case I have always enjoyed drawing and I have spent many hours, I guess if I had not had that passion and dedication, I would not have gotten to where I am right now.

4. Are you still using pencils and watercolors? or, Do you have surrender to the digital tablet?

I still use pencils, but more to sketch and organize the page layouts. The watercolors used the soil for the originals. When it comes to finishing I usually surrender to the graphic tablet, it is much faster and gives you many options.

7. We love Croquette and Pasty  What does this adorable couple mean to you?

Too much, it has been my first published work, in addition it is autobiographical and I enjoy very much drawing it.

8. They form a most salty team. But what are they stuffed with?

Of what everyone likes. As a fan of croquettes and patties, my favorites are mushrooms, stew or ham.

9. The third book on Croquette and Pasty is ready. What will we find between your pages?

It follows a similar line that the previous ones, they are still autobiographical short histories with a white humor, although I believe that each time they have more ‘bad mood’. But narratively and graphically, I think if there is a leap, I have tried to make more bullets per page and play a bit with the narrative.

10. In the middle of creating a new strip. And suddenly, a new idea arises. Do you draw it immediately or point it in a little notebook?

The floor to point in a notebook, do the storyboard if I have very clear or not, directly the idea or concept, although at the time of drawing me there are many I discard.

11. You have also illustrated the stories of Trufa in Hollywood, a graphic novel for children. How is that process of creating for children? How do you inspire yourself to create the characters?

It’s not really a graphic novel, it’s a children’s story. The story is autobiographical of the writer and the design of the dog was very clear, for the other characters gave me total freedom. I wanted the protagonist to have a very characteristic physique, I immediately had clear blue hair and very curly.

12. In what creative area, young people or children, do you feel more comfortable?

They are different, I like both audiences. In my comics I try to go towards a more general public, even more adult. The surprising thing is that later they also arrive at the smaller ones.

13. Currently, collaborative work has a very strong presence in the field of creation. How do you think that influences the use of free online resources (blogs, tutorials and vectors) on artistic projects?

Very positively, I think social networks are very necessary these days, they give you direct contact with your followers. As for tutorials, online courses and other platforms, they are certainly a way to improve, advance and learn.

14. Illustration and woman. A binomial with great force. How do you perceive the role of women in the universe of the current illustration?
