The Simpsons celebrates 600th episode with VR short

The Simpsons family have reached their 600th episode, and there is no better way to celebrate it than incorporating the latest technological fad into the show. The classic opening couch scene for this show has been titled “Planet of the Couches”.

Inspired by the science fiction film saga, The Planet of the Apes, they have made it possible to enrich your experience if you watch the opening using the Google Cardboard glasses to see the short in VR mode.

Couches take control of this world, and if you put the glasses on, not only you get to have a panoramic experience, but a personalized one: the video seems to respond depending on where you are looking at, allowing you to discover tiny details and easter eggs hidden within it.
