Having daltonism didn’t stop him from making incredible art
The Canadian artist, Mark Liam Smith, is internationally known for his works of art. In his work, he uses color in a really special way (maybe even strange for some), but it’s even more special because Mark has daltonism.
He doesn’t perceive color the way that other people do, but indeed he can differentiate very subtle changes of hue and saturation, which shows in the way that he approaches art. His work is hyperrealist with tons of color, with drastic changes in hue and with very high contrast.
His work is so interesting to look at because of the use of perspective, geometry and great composition that characterizes his work. He turned his handicap into an advantage, by surprising the world with his own view of color.
