Stones seem to ask this artist to paint beautiful animals on them
Akie Nakata is what she calls a “stone artist”. She believes that stones, even if they are inanimate and can’t make a sound, have stories inside of them that she tries to listen to, and then transform into art.
Akie paints her stones beautifully, and delicately bringing outside the souls of these rocks. She will see a graceful lion standing inside the stone, and help it see the light with her paints and thoughtful brushstrokes.
Her art gives off a sense of peace and stillness, but you can see how alive these stones become after going under her magic skills. Dogs, turtles, shiny frogs and cats are some more of the animals hidden in her canvases.
