Did you know the story behind the creation of Comic Sans?

Okay, talking about Comic Sans is so 2010. In fact, a website claims that “Lobster is the new Comic Sans”, but we will speak about that some other day. For now, we are going to focus on how the Comic Sans font was born and who was responsible for it!

In this Youtube video, published by the channel Great Big Story, will reveal some (perhaps fun) facts about the font that came pre-installed on 90s computers and that many people used on the cover of their first printed homework essays. ☺

The font, which has become a classic kitsch element, was born when Vincent Connare, who was a type engineer at Microsoft, tried to emulate his favorite comics’ fonts, such as the Watchmen series. You can learn more on the video that they have animated to explain about this!
