Extremely weird cutlery designed to enhancing the taste experience of food

You would never believe what this set of strange cutlery is for, unless there was an actual explanation behind it. A group of over 35 different designers have created it for the Experimental Gastronomy section of Steinbeisser’s annual food and design event.

These creations, which seem almost impossible to eat with, are designed so that you spend a lot of time picking your food up and taste it for longer than usual. We live fast paced lives, and normally eat faster than it’s actually recommended.

Although the premise is quite interesting from an artistic point of view, you can still have a hard time using chopsticks if you aren’t very experienced with them, so you can use these to have your own mindfulness experiment instead! 🙂
